BURMESE BRONZE BELLS

often referred to as elephant bells but also worn by other animals like ponies and oxen. They are known in Burma as "chu" and would help the Mahout to locate his elephants.The bronze bells often have interesting inscriptions and incised decorations including the seal and name of the maker. Mounted on contemporary metal stands.
