heavily potted plain white rice bowl from 14th century Burma. The lower half of the outer wall is carved to give a "ribbed" appearance. The inside is plain and has no design. The bowl sits on a low footrim and is coated in a thick and finely-crackled celadon glaze in an off whitish tint.
