BURMESE BRONZE MINIATURES

miniature Buddha images that were used by the faithful as votive offerings to be displayed in the reliquaries of newly built stupas in accordance with the Buddhist doctrine of karma. The cast bronze figures were made by provincial metalsmiths in northern Burma (Shan).
