BURMESE BRONZE BUDDHA

The bronze figure has all the attributes of a Shan Buddha, the oval face with eyebrows placed high on the forehead and the sharply pointed nose. The mouth is small and upturned in a half smile. The Buddha sits in the lotus position with the right hand calling the earth to witness. The triangular base has two cross symbols that at some point were inlaid with semi precious stones.
