VOTIVE TABLET

Unusual Laotian wooden votive plaque inset with 34 ceramic Buddha amulets. It was made as a temple offering and thought to produce good merit for its donor. The original shape of the tablet is reminiscent of the lotus bud (some damage) and the amulets are made of low fired earthenware.
