OPIUM OIL LAMP

An opium lamp was meant to vaporize the drug at a relatively low temperature. The glass cover with the funnel-like chimney channeled just the right amount of heat upon a very small surface. This brass oil lamp has an openwork vent and a lid that protects the glass chimney from damage when not in use.
