The Yoruba believe that one's destiny is predestined in the "Inner Head", its manifestation is a conical shrine that is kept in a larger crown like container "The House of the Head". These containers are made of leather and strung with cowriy shells, the traditional Yoruba currency. The whole sculpture is usually dismantled upon the death of the owner.
